EXTRA INITIALIZATION CODE OF AIRTEL,AIRCEL.TATA DOCOMO,IDEA.......

Extra intialisation command for AIRTEL, IDEA, AIRCEL, TATA DOCOMO gprs


 When you are trying to connect a mobile to the PC for browsing it will seldom connect in the first attempt
the key reason for this is your mobile modem has to be recognized by your PC.
                
    To Solve this problem in Windows XP

     1.First Open Control Panel Select Phones and Modems .
     2.In Area Code Type 91 and press Ok   
     3.In Next Dailog Box, Select Modems Tab , Here You Select Properties    
     In This Dailog Box U Select diagnostics Tab, In this You Select Query Modem Which will recognize   Your   Phone Modem. Then Select Advanced Tab give the Following Extra Initialization Command Based on your service Provider    
                 AIRTEL

                AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","airtelgprs.com"

                AIRCEL

                AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","aircelgprs.com"
                
                 IDEA

                AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","ideagprs.com"

                DOCOMO 
               
                 AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET"

                                           HOW TO USE YOUR PHONE AS A MODEM...
     Hi frnds i am here to guide u how to create a dial up connection ..........
     How to use your  phone as a modem .....most of people face many problems in creating a 
     successful connection..........so dont worry i m here to help u.............
                             


STEPS TO MAKE A CONNECTION...
  1. First of all switch on bluetooth of both ur phone and pc.
  2. click add new bluetooth device.
  3. click on Control Panel -> Phone and Modem options .
  4. Click on Modems tab and select Standard modem .
  5. Click on Properties, a new window (standard modem properties)will open .
  6. click on diagnostics tab and click on Query Modem button, you should see something like .                          
    ATQ0V1E0 - OK
    AT+GMM - BlackBerry IP Modem
    AT+FCLASS=? - COMMAND NOT SUPPORTED
    AT#CLS=? - COMMAND NOT SUPPORTED
    AT+GCI? - COMMAND NOT SUPPORTED
    AT+GCI=? - COMMAND NOT SUPPORTED
    ATI1 - Research In Motion
    BlackBerry IP Modem
    ATI2 - Research in Motion BlackBerry IP Modem
    ATI3 - Research in Motion BlackBerry IP Modem
    ATI4 - Research in Motion BlackBerry IP Modem
    • click on the Advanced tab and enter the following extra initialization command AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","airtelgprs.com" (ONLY FOR AIRTEL USERS)
    •  Close out the Phone and Modem windows
     
  7. Go back to control panel and click on "Network Connections".
  8. Click on "Create New Connection" and do the following
    • select "connect to the internet", click next
    • select "setup my connection manually", click next
    • select "connect using a dial-up modem", click next
    • select "Modem - Standard model" ONLY, click next
    • Provide a name of your choice, say "Airtel ", click next
    • Enter *99# as phone Number to dial, click next
    • select "Anyone's use", click next
    • In the internet account information window, leave all fields (username, password) empty, uncheck the 2 options, click next
    • check the "add a shortcut.." (you will find this handy), click FINISH.
    8. When you need to connect using the modem, click on the newly created short cut, and click on "Dial"
